We hope you are having a great week. We are writing today to share with you an important change to the school calendar for the last week of school.
At its meeting Tuesday night, the Hanover County School Board approved a revision to the previously approved school calendar. Similar to last school year,
all four days of the last week of school (Monday, June 12 through Thursday, June 15) will now be early release days across the entire school division. As a reminder, our early closing schedule is as follows:
Elementary
- 12:20 p.m.: JGES
- 12:30 p.m.: BPES, BES, CHES, EES, HCES, KCES, OES, PCES, PGES, RPES, SAES, WHES
- 12:45 p.m.: CSES, LMES, MES
Secondary
- 1:45 p.m.: All Middle and High Schools

Previously, Monday, June 12 and Tuesday, June 13 were early closings for only our middle and high schools while Wednesday, June 14 and Thursday, June 15 were early closings for all schools. This change is being made to allow for efficiency in our transportation service.
