Hanover County Public Schools (HCPS) will hold a teacher job fair on Saturday, February 22 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Hanover High School in Mechanicsville. We also encourage school counselors, librarians, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and registered nurses to apply.
Individuals who are eligible for a provisional license, currently or soon-to-be licensed, have a VDOE statement of eligibility, or are currently enrolled in a state-approved teacher licensure program should visit our Employment Opportunities page to apply and request an interview. Search for one or more of the HCPS teacher job fair postings:
- Special Education (SLP, Adapted Curriculum, General Curriculum, and Autism)
- K–12 Specialty Areas (School Counselor, Music, Health and PE, Art, Library, and ESL)
- Elementary Education (K–5 Classroom Positions, Early Childhood, and Elementary Endorsements)
- Secondary Education (World Languages, Math, English, Social Studies, Science, CTE, and Theatre)
- School Nurse (Registered Nurses)
Interviews are by invitation only, and a limited number of slots are available. The deadline to apply is on February 13. We will notify applicants via email by February 18 if we select you for an interview.
Walk-ins will also be welcome for a meet and greet with division staff. We encourage individuals who are unable to be scheduled for a formal interview or those with tentative plans to bring multiple copies of their résumé. Representatives from each school will be present to answer questions.
We require all candidates to submit an application and supporting documents for any specific teaching vacancy posted for the 2020–2021 school year.
