The Transportation Department uses ParentSquare, which makes notifications to notify parents of bus delays in excess of 10 minutes. Please make sure that your primary phone number for such notifications is up-to-date. The Transportation Department uses phone information from our student information system, PowerSchool.

If the School Bus Does Not Arrive on Time

Side view of a busSchool bus routes can be delayed for a variety of reasons including traffic, road blockages and closures, weather conditions, delays on prior routes/trips, and unacceptable student behavior. Students should remain at their assigned school bus stop for at least 15 minutes after the scheduled school bus pickup time.

Parents/Guardians who leave for work before the scheduled school bus pickup time should make arrangements for someone to assist their child(ren) in case of an unscheduled delay. Parents should ensure that children understand what action to take if the school bus is late or fails to arrive at the pickup locations. Automated phone calls are made when buses are delayed in excess of 10 minutes.
