Dear Families,
We hope you are well. We are writing to share with you several important tips to help make student dropoff in the mornings as smooth and efficient as possible.
While the first few weeks of school naturally bring increased traffic as everyone settles into new routines,
following the tips below will help keep our dropoff line moving safely and efficiently. Most importantly, your cooperation helps ensure our students arrive at school safely and are ready to begin a great day of learning.
Please be sure to follow the below universal tips each morning:
1) Pull All the Way Forward: Follow staff directions and pull as far forward as possible before letting your child out (even if that means driving past the front doors).
2) No Big Gaps: Stay close (but safe) behind the car in front of you. Leaving large gaps slows down the entire line.
3) Follow the Signs and Staff: Look for sidewalk signs and staff to help show you where to stop and safely unload.
4) Have Your Child Ready to Roll: Before it’s your turn, make sure your child has their backpack on, jacket zipped, and goodbyes said so they can hop out safely and quickly.
5) Stay in Your Vehicle: For safety and efficiency, drivers should remain in their vehicles during drop-off and pick-up. Do not exit your car in the dropoff lane.
6) Keep It Moving: Once your child is out of your car safely, please continue forward and exit the lot so the next family can unload.
7) Plan for Weather: Prepare your child for rain, snow, or cold. Delays happen more often during inclement weather, so please give yourself extra time and drive cautiously.
8) Park (Only if Needed): If your child requires more time, please park in the parking lot and walk your child to the unloading area. Do not allow your child to walk un-escorted through the parking lot.
9) Be Alert and Patient: As always, stay off your phone, follow staff instructions, and keep an eye out for pedestrians and other cars.

your student’s school may share more specific information regarding dropoff. We ask that you follow any school-specific directions, as traffic patterns and procedures may vary from campus to campus.
