Inclement Weather Update: Jan. 5, 2025
Dear Families, Faculty, and Staff,
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Hanover County until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, and our team continues to carefully evaluate conditions. Snow, sleet, and freezing rain are forecasted to impact our area beginning later today. This is expected to create hazardous travel conditions throughout the evening and into tomorrow for our buses, student drivers, and staff.
As a result, HCPS will be CLOSED on Monday, January 6. Employees use Code 0 (no one reports to work; system-wide closing).
We understand this is disruptive and sincerely appreciate your patience as we work to make the best possible decisions for our students and staff. We hope that sharing this information well in advance is helpful to you as you begin making the necessary arrangements.
