Hanover County Public Schools will remain on a two-hour delay on Monday, February 23. We encourage everyone to exercise caution and patience during this morning’s arrival.

Monday is a “B” day for our middle and high schools.

Dear Families, Faculty, and Staff,
We hope you are warm and well. A Winter Weather Advisory from the National Weather Service took effect at 1 p.m. today for all of Hanover County with snow forecasted tonight and into tomorrow morning. This has the potential to create slick and hazardous road conditions for our buses, student drivers, staff, and families.
As a precaution and to allow our team sufficient time to fully assess the most up-to-date forecast, travel conditions, and our facilities,
Hanover County Public Schools will be opening on a two-hour delay on Monday, February 23 for all students and staff.
Please note that
a two-hour delay is intended to allow HCPS staff additional time to further assess conditions and make a final determination on whether or not to open the school division. We will communicate any additional closings or delays that may be necessary as quickly as possible so you can begin making the necessary arrangements for your student.
We understand this is disruptive and sincerely appreciate your patience as we work to make the best possible decisions for our students and staff.
