due to improving conditions, all HCPS facilities will reopen tomorrow and all weekend activities and events may take place as originally scheduled.
We hope you have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing our students again on Monday.

Dear Families, Faculty, and Staff,
We hope you are warm and well. A Winter Weather Advisory will take effect for Hanover County overnight until 1 a.m. on Saturday, and our team continues to carefully evaluate conditions. Snow, mixed precipitation, and below freezing temperatures are forecasted to impact our area, which is expected to create hazardous travel conditions throughout the morning and into the afternoon for our buses, student drivers, staff, and families.
As a result, HCPS will be CLOSED on Friday, December 5. Employees use Code 1. At the earliest possible time, only designated personnel report to work. Please note that any designated employees who may be needed will be contacted directly by their supervisor.
Please note that
all after-school activities and events are canceled for Friday, December 5. We will communicate any further building closures that may be necessary this weekend as quickly as possible.
We understand this is disruptive and sincerely appreciate your patience as we work to make the best possible decisions for our students and staff. We hope that sharing this information well in advance is helpful to you as you begin to make the necessary arrangements.
