Dear Families,
As we continue our response to recent inclement weather,
we are pleased to again offer free meals for our students.
Specifically,
free grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches will be served curbside on Tuesday, February 3 from 12-2 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last as follows:
- Ashland Elementary School (201 Archie Cannon Road in Ashland) outside near the cafeteria
- Mechanicsville Elementary School (7425 Mechanicsville Elementary Drive in Mechanicsville) in the parent dropoff/pickup area
Please note that meals are for students 18 years old and under.
Children do not need to be present to receive the meals.
We are grateful for the help of our contractors in helping to make the distribution areas clear for families to receive these free meals.
Please continue to exercise caution in your travel as secondary and neighborhood roads remain icy.
The meals provided will be the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. For more information about this program, please contact HCPS Food Services at (804) 365-4566.
