Dear Families, Faculty, and Staff,
We hope you are well. We are writing to share with you an update regarding the start of the boundary evaluation and adjustment process.
As we shared with you last week, to address student enrollment and capacity across schools in HCPS, we are beginning a boundary line evaluation and adjustment process. We encourage you to read
last week’s message if you have not done so already for more information about this process.
At its meetings yesterday, the Hanover County School Board received a high-level overview and held an initial discussion on this process. The presentation from MGT, the third-party vendor hired to lead this process, to the School Board can be found
on BoardDocs. As you will note, it includes enrollment and capacity data across our schools.
Please note that no draft boundary adjustment options were presented and a vote on the boundary adjustments is not scheduled until the April School Board meeting.
We are committed to keeping you fully informed throughout this process. As such,
we have created this webpage that will have continuous updates regarding the boundary evaluation and adjustment process. We encourage you to check it for the latest updates.
