Nutrition Information

All schools participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).  Our lunches are required to meet specific nutritional guidelines according to different grade level groups (K-5 and 6-8). The federal guidelines are split into nine different categories; Fruits, Vegetables, Grains, Meat/Meat Alternates, Milk, Calories, Saturated Fats, Trans Fats, and Sodium. Our schools use the Offer vs. Serve program which states that school lunches must offer all five food components (fruit, vegetable, grain, meat/meat alternate, milk) each day. Also in Offer vs. Serve students are allowed to decline two items/components at lunch, except the student must select at least one serving of fruit or vegetable. For more detailed information about the new federal regulations please click on the following link: USDA National School Lunch Program homepage.
